Fatal Shooting at 7640 Clarewood August 3, 2009 - Houston police are investigating a fatal shooting of a male at 7640 Clarewood about 10 p.m. on Sunday (August 2). The victim, of Houston, suffered multiple gunshot wounds to the torso and was pronounced dead at the scene. His identity is pending verification by the Harris County Medical Examiner’s Office. HPD Homicide Sergeant J. Rubio and Officer D. Gunter reported: Friends of the victim gave him a ride to where he lived behind an out of business convenience store. As he walked behind the store, the victim was ambushed by an unknown suspect and fatally shot. The suspect fled the scene.
