Suspect Indentified, Charged in Fatal Shooting at 8445 Winkler

August 17, 2009 - Charges have been filed against a suspect wanted in the fatal shooting of a man at 8445 Winkler about 11:15 p.m. on Saturday (Aug. 15).

The suspect, Ambrosia Keith Sam (b/m, DOB: 9-10-88), has been charged with murder in the 263rd State District Court.  He remains at large.

The victim, Brandon Terrell LeBeau, 21, of Houston, suffered a gunshot wound to the chest and was pronounced dead at the scene.

HPD Homicide Division Sergeants D.A. Ferguson and T.D. Griffin, Senior Police Officer D.R. Shorten and Officer R.T. Figueroa reported:

Patrol officers responded to a shooting call at an apartment complex at the above address and found Sam and Mr. LeBeau had gotten into an argument.  The argument escalated and, at some point, Sam produced a gun and shot LeBeau.  Sam then fled the scene.
