Fatal Shooting at 8700 Berndale

August 31, 2009 - Houston police are investigating the fatal shooting of one man and wounding of another at 8700 Berndale after the two men were found about 4 a.m. on Sunday (Aug. 30).

The identity of the deceased male is pending verification by the Harris County Medical Examiner's Office. He suffered multiple gunshot wounds. The other male was transported to an area hospital and treated for his wounds.

HPD Homicide Division Sergeant M.W. McStravick and Officer T.A. Andrade reported:

A male in a black sport utility vehicle was found shot to death in the 8700 block of Market Street. Another male was found shot in the 8700 block of Berndale.

It appears the male in the SUV was also shot at the Berndale location and then drove to the location where he was found on Market.

At this time, there is no known suspect(s) or motive in the shootings. It is unknown if the males shot one another or were shot by someone else.
