Fatal Shooting at 3300 Bayou

February 16, 2008 - Houston police are investigating the fatal shooting of a man in the 3300 block of Bayou about 3:20 a.m. on Sunday (Feb. 15). 

The male victim, 25 to 35 years of age, suffered multiple gunshot wounds and was pronounced dead at the scene.  His identity is pending verification by the Harris County Medical Examiner’s Office. 

HPD Homicide Division Sergeant W. Anthony and Senior Police Officer R. W. Chappell reported: 

The victim confronted an unknown suspect, who was driving a mini-van, and was shot during a struggle.  The suspect then fled the scene. 

The wanted vehicle is described as a red, tan or gold colored mid 1990s mini-van with a broken driver’s side window and fresh damage to the front passenger’s quarter panel. 

The victim, who had no identification in his possession, is described as a Hispanic male, wearing a gray T-shirt, blue jeans, a brown leather jacket and a small beaded necklace.  According to witnesses, the victim did not speak English.
