Suspect Sought in Woman's Death at 1822 Barker Cypress Road #2711

January 12, 2008 - Charges have been filed against a suspect wanted in the death of a woman found at 1822 Barker Cypress Road #2711 about 1:10 p.m. on Friday (Jan. 9).

The suspect, Carlos Eduardo Rodriguez (H/m, DOB: 7-7-71), is charged with murder in the 262nd State District Court. He is accused in the killing of his common-law wife, Rumalda Imelda Nino, 27, of Houston, who was pronounced dead at the scene. Rodriguez is currently at large.

HPD Homicide Division Sergeant B. Evans and Senior Police Officers D. Shorten and T. Tyler reported:

Patrol officers went to check on the well-being of Ms. Nino, after a family member was told by Rodriguez she was deceased, and found her in her bed. Further investigation determined Nino had been strangled.
