Fatal Shooting at 8655 Pitner

July 8, 2009 - Houston police are investigating the fatal shooting of a man at 8655 Pitner about 5:15 a.m. today (July 8). 

The victim, 30 to 35, suffered multiple gunshot wounds and was pronounced dead at the scene.  His identity is pending verification by the Harris County Medical Examiner’s Office. 

HPD Homicide Division Sergeant N. T. Ruland and Senior Police Officer B. W. Nabors reported: 

Witnesses reported seeing at least two unknown males with the victim in his apartment the night before the shooting (Tuesday).  About 1 a.m., the victim was heard arguing with some unknown males, who then left a short time later.  Several hours later, witnesses reported hearing several gunshots.  The victim was later discovered lying on the ground by a resident of the complex who was leaving for work.  The witness then asked his wife to call police.
