Man Fatally Shot at 6024 Doulton

July 21, 2009 - The fatal shooting of a man at 6024 Doulton about 2 a.m. today (July 21) will be referred to a Harris County grand jury.

Jeffery Thomas Allen, Jr., 40, of Missouri City, suffered a gunshot wound to the chest and was pronounced dead at the scene.

The male shooter, Rodney Thomas, of the above address, was not injured.

HPD Homicide Division Sergeant J.T. Wyers and Senior Police Officer R.P. Martinez reported:

Following an argument at his home, Mr. Thomas told his nephew, Mr. Allen, to leave.  Allen left after threatening to kill Thomas but later returned and threatened Thomas with a metal pipe.  Thomas gave his nephew repeated commands to leave, but Allen refused to do so and instead advanced toward Thomas, who fatally shot him.
