Fatal Shooting at 11000 West Hardy Road

June 15, 2009 - Houston police are investigating the fatal shooting of a man found in the 11000 block of West Hardy Road about 6:55 p.m. on Sunday (June 14). 

The victim, 58, suffered multiple gunshot wounds and was pronounced dead at the scene.  His identity is pending notification to family members by the Harris County Medical Examiner’s Office. 

HPD Homicide Division Sergeant C. M. Cegielski and Officer J. T. Barringer reported: 

Patrol officers responded to a shooting call at 11000 West Hardy after a witness heard gunshots and called police.  The victim was found sitting inside his vehicle, deceased.  Further investigation determined a white four-door car was seen parked next to the victim’s vehicle when the shooting occurred.  A male suspect was seen running from the victim’s car and getting into the white vehicle, which then fled south on West Hardy. 

The suspect is described only as a Hispanic male, 25 to 30 years of age, 5 feet 7 inches tall, about 180 to 200 pounds and has short black hair.
