Investigation Into Fatal Shooting at 8801 S. Braeswood

June 22, 2009 - Houston Police are investigating the fatal shooting of a man at 8801 S. Braeswood about 1 a.m. on Saturday (June 20).

The victim, Miguel Hildalgo, 36, was shot several times and taken to Ben Taub General Hospital where he died from his wounds.

HPD Homicide Division Sergeant W. Booth and Senior Police Officer A. Brown reported:

Two groups of individuals, in separate vehicles, were involved in a shoot-out at the entrance of an apartment complex.  The victim, Mr. Hildalgo, was shot several times and taken to Ben Taub General Hospital where he was pronounced dead. 

Both vehicles were struck several times during the gunfight.  The suspects, three Hispanic males, abandoned their vehicle and fled the scene on foot.
