Fatal Shooting at 5353 Deep Forest

March 9, 2009 - Houston police are investigating the fatal shooting of a man found at 5353 Deep Forest about 12:30 a.m. on Saturday (Mar. 7). 

The identity of the victim, believed to be in his early 20s, is pending notification to family members by the Harris County Medical Examiner's Office. 

HPD Homicide Division Senior Police Officers C.T. Hufstedler and A.J. Palos reported: 

Officers responded to a discharging of firearms call at an apartment complex parking lot and found the victim sitting in the driver's seat of a silver Land Rover.  The male had been shot multiple times and was pronounced dead at the scene by responding HFD paramedics.  Witnesses said a Hispanic male was seen running from the area just after the gunshots were heard. 

The motive for the shooting is unknown at this time.
