Fatal Shooting at 4200 Wilmington

March 10, 2009 - Houston police are investigating the fatal shooting of a man at 4200 Wilmington about 2:30 a.m. on Tuesday (March 10).

The victim, Steven Torres, 39, of Houston, sustained multiple gunshot wounds to his torso and was pronounced dead at the scene.

HPD Homicide Division Sergeant N.T. Ruland and Senior Police Officer B.W. Nabors reported:

Residents reported hearing multiple gunshots at an apartment complex parking lot. Officers responded and found the victim lying on the ground next to his vehicle. His vehicle had struck a parked car.
