Investigation into Shooting at Sam Houston Parkway at Bellaire

March 11, 2009 - Houston police are investigating the fatal shooting of one man and wounding of two others at the Sam Houston Parkway at Bellaire Boulevard about 5 a.m. on Wednesday (March 11). 

The identity of the deceased male, 20, is pending verification by the Harris County Medical Examiner’s Office.  He was shot in the upper left torso and shoulder.  A second victim, George Alberto Aguilar Lucas, 23, was shot in the abdomen.  The third victim, Allan Misael Sanchez, 19, of Houston, sustained gunshot wounds to his left arm and left leg.

Police were told the unknown suspect was driving a black or dark blue Ford Crown Victoria with 24-inch chrome rims.

HPD Homicide Division Sergeant C.T. Mosqueda and Police Officer X.E. Avila reported:

Officers were summoned to the West Houston Medical Center at 12141 Richmond Avenue.  Upon arrival, officers were directed to the emergency room where one man was pronounced dead.  The second victim, Mr. Lucas, was transported to Ben Taub General Hospital in critical condition.  A third victim, Mr. Sanchez, was brought to Memorial Hermann Southwest Hospital by ambulance.

Investigators learned the three men were shot near Bellaire Boulevard and Beltway 8.  The victims were driving on the service road when the suspect began to follow them.  The suspect passed their vehicle a second time and began shooting.  The suspect then sped off.
