Composite Sketch Released in Shooting of Two Males at 10919 Fondren

March 23, 2009 - Houston police homicide investigators have released a composite sketch of a suspect wanted in the fatal shooting of one man and wounding of a juvenile at 10919 Fondren #1605 about 7:45 p.m. on Friday (Mar. 20).

Composite SketchThe suspect is described as a black male in his late teens to early 20s, about 5 feet 6 inches tall and weighing 120 to 150 pounds.  He has a thin build, wore black clothing and had dread locks. A composite sketch of the suspect is attached to this news release.

The victim, Markquese Dewayne Donahue, 18, of Houston, suffered a gunshot wound and was pronounced dead at the scene.  The juvenile, 16, also suffered a gunshot wound and was transported to Memorial Hermann Southwest Hospital. He is expected to recover from his injuries.

HPD Homicide Division Sergeant R. J. Blain and Officer E. H. Schmidt reported:

Three male suspects were attempting to break a hole in a fence in order to enter the Willows Apartment complex.  Donahue, who lived at the complex, told the males to stop and an argument ensued.  One of the suspects then shot Donahue and his brother.
