Victim Identified in Fatal Shooting at 2100 Hailey

May 4, 2009 - Houston police have learned the identity of a man fatally shot in the 2100 block of Hailey about 2:55 p.m. on Apr. 28. 

The victim, Willie Charles Sims, 52, of Houston, suffered multiple gunshot wounds and was pronounced dead at the scene. 

HPD Homicide Division Sergeant C. Howard and Officer J. Rodriguez reported: 

Mr. Sims was walking in the 2100 block of Hailey when he was shot by an unknown male suspect.  The suspect then got into the passenger side of a silver or gray vehicle, with a black right fender or bumper and possibly tinted windows, driven by another male suspect, and then sped away. 

The two suspects are described only as one black male (shooter) and one Hispanic male (driver).  The black male suspect is 17 to 20 years of age, dark skin tone, about 5 feet 7 inches tall, with a medium build and short hair.  He is possibly armed with a revolver.  The Hispanic male suspect is 20 to 23 years of age, about 6 feet tall, with a small to medium build and very short black hair.
