Investigation Into Fatal Stabbing at 8810 Jensen

October 6 , 2009 - Houston police are investigating the fatal stabbing of a man at 8810 Jensen about 3:10 a.m. on Monday (Oct. 5).

The victim, Melvin Paz Sanchez, 23, of Houston, suffered stab wounds to his torso and was pronounced dead at Ben Taub General Hospital.

HPD Homicide Division Sergeant A. Carrillo and Senior Police Officer H. Chavez reported:

Mr. Sanchez was at a bar at 8810 Jensen when he was assaulted by four persons, described only as Hispanic males. During the assault, Sanchez was stabbed several times. A second person inside the bar was also stabbed and robbed. That male victim, 24, was transported to Ben Taub General Hospital and is expected to recover from his injuries.
