Fatal Traffic Accident at 7300 Clinton
October 13 , 2009 - Houston police are investigating a fatal traffic accident in the 7300 block of Clinton about 7:40 p.m. on Monday (Oct. 12).
The male victim, 28, and a female passenger, 38, were pronounced dead at the scene. The identities of both victims are pending notification to family members by the Harris County Medical Examiner’s Office.
HPD Vehicular Crimes Division Sergeant E. R. Spencer and Officer L. Hill reported:
According to witnesses, the victim and his female passenger were traveling westbound in the 7300 block of Clinton in a silver Pontiac Grand Prix, at a high rate of speed, when the vehicle lost control and swerved into the eastbound lane. A white Ford F-150 pickup truck traveling eastbound on Clinton struck the Pontiac on the passenger side. The Pontiac then struck a Chevrolet Avalanche that was exiting a private driveway. The male and female in the Grand Prix were killed and the male driver of the Ford and his juvenile male passenger were transported to Ben Taub General Hospital in unknown conditions. The occupants of the Avalanche were not injured.
The investigation is continuing.
