Investigation Into Infant's Death at 4618 High Point Lane

October 14 , 2009 - Houston police are awaiting autopsy results of an infant found unresponsive at 4618 High Point Lane about 5:15 p.m. on Tuesday (Oct. 13).

The baby boy, D’Aaron Javon Morris, nine months old, was taken to Memorial Hermann Hospital where he was pronounced dead.

HPD Homicide Division Sergeant R. Torres and Senior Police Officer S. Anderson reported:

Baby D’Aaron had been sleeping in a play pen at his caregivers’ home for about an hour when he was found unresponsive and not breathing. The caregivers called for an ambulance and immediately began CPR. HFD paramedics arrived and transported the infant to the hospital where he was pronounced dead. Investigators were told the infant had suffered from bronchitis and asthma, and most recently had flu-symptoms.

The Harris County Medical Examiner’s office will conduct an investigation to determine the cause of death.
