Fatal Shooting at 7111 Harwin

October 28, 2009 - Houston police are investigating the fatal shooting of a man at 7111 Harwin about 1:30 p.m. on Tuesday (Oct. 27).

The victim, Willie Bernard Davis, 27, of Houston, suffered a gunshot wound and was pronounced dead at the scene.

HPD Homicide Division Sergeant J.T. Parker and Senior Police Officer S. Straughter reported:

Officers were dispatched to an assault in-progress call with weapons involved in the parking lot of 7111 Harwin. Upon arrival, officers discovered Mr. Davis had been fatally shot.

The investigation has determined Davis and several of his friends became involved in a dispute with several black males, many of whom Davis knew. At least two suspects fired weapons during the dispute, striking Davis one time.
