Fatal Shooting at 3223 South Loop West

September 8, 2009 - Houston police are investigating the fatal shooting of a man at 3223 South Loop West about 11:50 p. m. on Friday (Sept. 4).

The victim, Chansey Jolivette, 20, of Houston, suffered a gunshot wound and was pronounced dead at the scene.

HPD Homicide Division Senior Police Officers D. Arnold and R. Chappell reported:

Mr. Jolivette and a witness were inside a motel room at 3223 South Loop West when they heard a knock at the door and saw an unknown female suspect outside. Jolivette opened the door and when he attempted to close it, several shots were fired through the door. Jolivette was killed and the witness was not injured. At this time, it has not been determined how many suspects were involved in the shooting.

The suspect is described only as a black female, medium complexion, with a black hair weave, possibly pulled back into a bun or a pony tail. It is believed she may be wearing eyeglasses.
