Investigation into Shooting at 6113 Gulf Freeway
August 16, 2010 - Houston police are investigating the shooting of a man at 6113 Gulf Freeway (South Interstate Highway 45) service road about 9 a.m. on Saturday (August 14).
Prudencio Tellez, 35, of Houston, suffered a gunshot wound and was transported to Ben Taub General Hospital in critical condition.
HPD Homicide Division Sergeant J.M. De La Cruz and Senior Police Officer X.E. Avila reported:
Officers responded to a report of a person down at an apartment complex and found Mr. Tellez in the parking lot. Witnesses reported hearing possible gunshots and found the victim.
The investigation is continuing.
