Fatal Traffic Accident at 6200 Gulf Freeway
August 27, 2010 - Houston police are investigating a fatal traffic accident at 6200 Gulf Freeway (South Interstate 45) about 6:15 a.m. on Thursday (Aug. 26).
The victim, a female pedestrian, was pronounced dead at the scene. Her identity is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.
HPD Vehicular Crimes Division Sergeant G.T. Hall and Senior Police Officer A.J. Brown reported:
The pedestrian ran onto the northbound lanes of the Gulf Freeway and was struck by at least one vehicle.
The investigation is continuing.
