Fatal Traffic Accident at 10700 Northwest Freeway

July 26, 2010 - Houston police are investigating a fatal traffic accident at 10700 Northwest Freeway (U.S. Highway 290) about 5:15 a.m. on Saturday (July 24).

The male pedestrian, 30, of Houston, was pronounced dead at the scene.  His identity is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.

HPD Vehicular Crimes Division Sergeant G. Hall and Officer L. Ho reported:

The victim was crossing the Northwest Freeway when an eastbound white Ford E150 Van struck him.  The driver of the Ford remained at the scene of the accident.

The investigation is continuing.
