Surveillance Photos Released in Fatal Shooting at 4680 Beechnut


November 11, 2010 - Houston police homicide investigators have released surveillance photos of a suspect wanted in the fatal shooting of a man at 4680 Beechnut about 12:15 a.m. today (Nov. 11). 

Surveillance photos of the suspect, described only as a black male, are attached to this news release.  He is accused in the killing of Samuel K. Iric, 24, of Houston.  Mr. Iric suffered a gunshot wound to the chest and was transported to Ben Taub General Hospital where he was pronounced dead. 

HPD Homicide Division Sergeant E. Cisneros, Senior Police Officer W. Ferguson and Officers M. Coleman and K. Meek reported: 

A female customer was at the service window of the Chevron gas station at the above location when she was approached by an unknown black male suspect armed with a pistol.  As the suspect grabbed the female's purse, Mr. Iric, who was standing nearby, attempted to intervene.  The suspect then shot Iric in the chest and fled on foot with the female's purse.  The gas station employee then called 9-1-1.
