Suspect Sought in Male's Death at 6200 Sayers


November 19, 2010 - Houston police are asking for the public's assistance in locating a suspect wanted in the death of a male found in the 6200 block of Sayers about 8:35 p.m. on Nov. 10.

The suspect, Lakendrick Earl Jacobs (b/m, DOB: 8-9-87), is wanted for questioning in the death of Euland Laster, 65, of Houston.  Jacobs, also known as "Ken" and wanted on other unrelated charges, was last seen in the 11000 block of Spottswood in northeast Houston.  He remains at large and is believed to be armed with an assault rifle.  A photo of Jacobs is attached to this news release. 

A second suspect, Mark Anthony Tillman (b/m, DOB: 1-2-78), was arrested and charged with capital murder in the 338th State District Court for his involvment in this case.  He remains in custody. 

Mr. Laster suffered blunt force trauma and was pronounced dead. 

HPD Homicide Division Senior Police Officers K. Lovelace and D. Arnold reported: 

Mr. Laster was seen struggling with two unknown male suspects between his 2010 Nissan Sentra and another vehicle.  Both vehicles then sped away and Laster was left in the street at 6200 Sayers near Caplin.  Investigators believe the two males robbed Laster for his vehicle.   

Further investigation identified Jacobs and Tillman as the suspects in this case.  On Wednesday (Nov. 17), Tillman was arrested without incident.
