Fatal Shooting at 4526 Saunders


October 8, 2010 - Houston police are investigating the fatal shooting of a man at 4526 Saunders about 4 p.m. on Thursday (Oct. 7).

The victim, Thomas James Ballantyne, 52, of the above address, suffered multiple gunshot wounds and was pronounced dead at the scene.

HPD Homicide Division Sergeant R. Torres and Officer B. Oxspring reported:

Mr. Ballantyne was found deceased on the driveway of his residence. It is believed he was robbed and shot multiple times in a drug-related incident. Although there are no known witnesses to the shooting, neighbors and coworkers told investigators an unknown black male in an older, white vehicle has been seen at Ballantyne’s home every Thursday evening to conduct what appeared to be drug transactions.
