September 2, 2010 - Houston police are investigating the death of a male at 9911 Southport Drive about 10:40 a.m. on Wednesday (September 1). 

The victim, Patrick Russell Carver, 18, of the above address, suffered apparent blunt force trauma to the head and was pronounced dead at the scene.  His cause of death is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences. 

HPD Homicide Division Sergeant R. Chandler and Senior Police Officer B. Evans reported: 

Mr. Carver's father went to his home at 9911 Southport to retrieve some personal property.  As he entered the residence, Carver was found lying face down.  His father checked for vital signs and after finding none, he exited the house and called 9-1-1.  HFD emergency personnel responded to the scene and pronounced Carver dead.
