Investigation into Fatal Traffic Accident at 8200 Westheimer
April 29, 2011 - Houston police are investigating a fatal traffic accident in the 8200 block of Westheimer about 2:05 p.m. on Thursday (April 28).
A male pedestrian, 55, was pronounced dead at the scene. His identity is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.
HPD Vehicular Crimes Division Sergeant S. Wilson and Officer J. Ortiz reported:
The victim was attempting to cross Westheimer and not using a marked crosswalk when he was struck by a tan Toyota Camry traveling eastbound. At this time, no charges are expected to be filed against the driver.
