Fatal Shooting of Man at 3560 Dixie Drive

December 19, 2011 - Houston police are investigating the fatal shooting of a man found at 3560 Dixie Drive about 2:35 a.m. on Sunday (Dec. 18).


The identity of the victim, 22, of Houston, is pending notification to his family by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.

HPD Homicide Division Sergeant J.C. Padilla and Senior Police Officer R.L. Bolton reported:

Officers responded to a loud noise complaint at the Catalina Village Apartments at the above location and heard several gun shots in the area. Officers drove to another area of the complex to investigate and were notified by a dispatcher of a person down call near one of the apartment buildings. Officers walked around the complex and located the victim deceased in a courtyard.

Robbery is believed to be the motive in the shooting. Witnesses reported seeing a possible suspect, described only as a black male, leaving the scene in a white Chevrolet car.
