February 28, 2011 - Houston police are investigating the shooting of a female at 6916 Jensen about 4 a.m. on Saturday (Feb. 26).

The victim, Quintana Patterson, 18, suffered a gunshot wound to the head and was transported to Ben Taub General Hospital. Doctors pronounced her dead on Sunday (Feb. 27).

HPD Homicide Division Sergeant M. Countryman and Officer J. Cornelius reported:

Ms. Patterson had just left the Takeover Club, at 2817 Bennington, and was standing in an adjacent parking lot at the above address, when an unknown black male began shooting. The suspect was then seen getting into an unknown white car and fled the scene.
