Composite Sketches of Suspects Wanted in Fatal Shooting at 13721 Almeda School Road


January 29, 2011 - Houston police homicide investigators have released composite sketches of two of three suspects wanted in the fatal shooting of a man at 13721 Almeda School Road about 4 p.m. on Friday (Jan. 28).

Composite sketches of the suspects, both Hispanic males, are attached to this news release.  The first suspect is described as being in his mid 20s to early 30s, 5 feet 9 inches to 6 feet tall, weighing 180 to 200 pounds and wearing a black baseball cap, blue striped polo shirt and unknown color pants.  The second suspect is described as being in his mid 20s, 5 feet 2 to 5 feet 5 inches tall, weighing 130 to 140 pounds, with black hair, and wearing a charcoal gray “hoodie” sweatshirt with unknown color pants.  Both males had light complexions and spoke with a Central American accent.

There is no description on a third suspect, driving the vehicle in which the suspects fled the scene.  The wanted vehicle is a 1994-97 red Chevrolet S-10, regular cab pickup truck.  It had a chrome grill and no license plates.

The suspects are wanted in the death of Armando Alcantara, 47, of Houston, who suffered multiple gunshot wounds and was pronounced dead at the scene.

HPD Homicide Division Sergeant B. Roberts, Senior Police Officer R. Chappell, and Officers J. Harvey and B. Oxspring reported:

Patrol officers responded to a shooting call at the AA Roofing Supply Warehouse at 13721 Almeda School Road and discovered the company’s owner, Mr. Alcantara, had been shot multiple times during an attempted robbery.  Two male suspects, both armed with guns, demanded money from Alcantara, shot him numerous times and then fled the scene in a pickup truck driven by a third suspect.
