HPD Investigation Nets Home Invasion Suspects

July 20, 2011 - Investigators in the Houston Police Department's Robbery Division have arrested three suspects believed responsible for multiple home invasion/robberies in the southeast side of the city.

Two male suspects, Cerdarian Patrick O'Neal-Thompson (b/m, DOB: 5-11-93) and Jethaniel Jelliot McGee (b/m, DOB: 1-29-87) are charged with two counts of aggravated robbery with a deadly weapon in the 178th State District Court.  A third suspect, Sade Marie Houghton (b/f, DOB: 1-2-94), is charged with one count of aggravated robbery with a deadly weapon in the same court.

Photos of all three suspects are attached to this news release.

The incidents occurred at the following locations:

  • July 11 - 9111 Lakes of 610 - 7:15 p.m.
  • July 12 - 11575 Pearland Parkway - 9 p.m.

In both incidents, the armed suspects forced their way into the apartments and assaulted the victims before stealing personal items, as well as the victims' vehicles.  An investigation into both incidents was immediately opened by the HPD Robbery Division.

On July 13, robbery investigators and officers with the HPD Southeast Patrol Tactical Unit developed information that identified Houghton as a suspect in this case.  Officers arrested her as she was driving one of the vehicles stolen in the home invasions.  Statements by Houghton and continued investigation identified Houghton's boyfriend, O'Neal-Thompson, as a second suspect in this case and he was taken into custody while driving in another vehicle stolen in the home invasions later that day.  Further investigation identified McGee as the third suspect in this case, and on Monday (July 18), he was taken into custody without incident.  All three vehicles stolen in both incidents have been recovered.

Anyone with additional information on the three suspects is asked to contact the HPD Robbery Division at 713-308-0700.

At 1:30 p.m. TODAY (Wednesday, July 20), investigators from the HPD Southeast Robbery Division will be available to answer questions regarding this investigation in the first floor media briefing room of HPD Headquarters, 1200 Travis.
