July 25, 2011 - Houston police are investigating the fatal shooting of a man at 4700 South Kirkwood Drive about 6:45 p.m. last Friday (July 22).

The victim, 18, suffered a gunshot wound to the head and was pronounced dead at the scene.  His identity is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.

HPD Homicide Division Officers I. Ulloa, C. Cardenas and M. Condon reported:

The victim was observed walking around the area and appeared to be disoriented.  A few minutes later, witnesses reported hearing a gunshot and found the victim lying dead in the middle of the street.
