Composite Sketch in Attempted Sexual Assault Case

June 13, 2011 - Houston police are asking for the public's assistance in identifying a suspect wanted in the attempted sexual assault of a teenage girl at 5400 Pate about 7 p.m. on March 22.

The suspect is described only as a black male in his early to mid 30s, between 5 feet 9 inches and 6 feet tall, with a skinny build. A composite sketch of the wanted suspect is attached to this news release. The suspect’s vehicle is described as an unknown model 4-door silver pickup truck.

The female victim, 15, was not harmed in this incident.

HPD Juvenile Division Sergeant T. Simmons and Officer C. Broussard reported:

The girl was walking home from school in the Shadydale neighborhood in Northeast Houston when she was approached by an unknown male suspect who convinced her to get into his vehicle. The suspect then drove her to a secluded area near the intersection of Peachtree and Pate and demanded she perform a sex act on him. The victim escaped from the suspect's pickup truck and fled to a nearby residence.
