A tan Chrysler Sebring and a brown Chevrolet Astro van were traveling north on the 610 East Loop on the Ship Channel Bridge when, according to witnesses, the driver of the Sebring made an unsafe lane change and struck the Astro van.  The driver of the Astro van took evasive action and struck the outside concrete wall of the bridge.  Upon impact, the two victims in the van were ejected over the edge of the bridge and landed on the ground below.  Four other persons in the van were transported to Memorial Hermann Hospital in fair condition.  The driver and a passenger of the Sebring fled on foot.
