UPDATE: Suspect Wanted, Charged in Fatal Shooting at 7550 Long Point Road


May 9, 2011 - Charges have been filed against a suspect wanted in the fatal shooting of one man and wounding of two others at 7550 Long Point Road #41 about 12:15 a.m. on May 2.

The suspect, Pedro Rodriguez (H/m, DOB: 12-1-78), is charged with murder and two counts of aggravated assault in the 230th State District Court.  He is accused in the killing of Victor Ramirez, 43, of the above address.  Ramirez suffered multiple gunshot wounds and was pronounced dead at Ben Taub General Hospital.  A second male was also shot multiple times and was in critical condition at an area hospital.  The third victim was hospitalized in stable condition after suffering one gunshot wound.

HPD Homicide Division Sergeant M. McStravick and Senior Police Officer P. Vela reported:

It appears there was an argument between four adult male neighbors at the above location.  Indications are one of the neighbors (Rodriguez) produced a gun and shot the other three.  Rodriguez then fled the scene.
