Investigation into Male Found Deceased at 700 Franklin


May 23, 2011 - Houston police are awaiting autopsy results in the death of a man found at 700 Franklin about 6:50 a.m. on Saturday (May 21).

The identity of the victim is pending identification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.

HPD Homicide Divison Sergeant J. De La Cruz and Senior Police Officer X. Avila reported:

A passerby found the body of the victim in the bayou and alerted the police.  The victim appeared to be homeless and may have sustained gunshot wounds.

There are no known witnesses nor suspects at this time.
