Fatal Traffic Accident at 1796 Genoa Red Bluff

November 8, 2011 - A man critically injured in a traffic accident at 1796 Genoa Red Bluff about 9:45 a.m. on Oct. 1 has died from injuries suffered in the accident.

The identity of the male victim is pending verification by the Harris County Insititute of Forensic Sciences.

HPD Vehicular Crimes Division Sergeant G. Hall and Senior Police Officer A. Brown, and Clear Lake Patrol Division Officer T. White reported:

The victim was driving a white Ford F-250 pickup truck westbound on Genoa Red Bluff and ran a red light at the intersection of the South Sam Houston Parkway service road.  The Ford then struck a maroon Chevrolet Tahoe traveling southbound on the Sam Houston Parkway service road.    The driver of the Ford was transported to an area hospital in critical condition.  Doctors pronounced him dead on Oct. 27.


The investigation is continuing.
