Investigation into Fatal Shooting at 6210 Sherwood

November 21, 2011 - Houston police are investigating the fatal shooting of a man at 6210 Sherwood about 11:50 p.m. on Saturday (Nov. 19).

The victim, Horace Jackson, 56, of the above address, suffered a gunshot wound to the head and was transported to Ben Taub General Hospital where he was pronounced dead.

HPD Homicide Division Sergeant K. McGray and Officer T. Tyler reported:

Officers responded to a shooting call at the above location and found Mr. Jackson lying on the ground.  The suspect was wearing all black, with a black mask over his face, and had a "poofy" pony tail.  He is described only as a black male, 30 to 40 years of age, weighing 150 to 170 pounds.  The suspect fled the scene is an unknown direction.
