September 14, 2011 - Houston police are investigating a fatal traffic accident at 11603 Martin Luther King Boulevard about 7:36 p.m. on Tuesday (Sept. 13).

The male victim, 46, was transported to Ben Taub General Hospital where he was pronounced dead.  His identity is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.

HPD Vehicular Crimes Division Sergeant M. Stewart and Officer J. Mushinski reported:

The victim was driving a white Ford Expedition northbound on Martin Luther KingBlvd. when the vehicle then left the roadway and struck a house on the east side of the street.  The victim was ejected from the vehicle.

The investigation is continuing.
