September 21, 2011 - Houston police are awaiting autopsy results in the death of a woman at 5941 South Loop East #805 about 3:45 a.m. on Tuesday (Sept. 20).

The victim, Jessica Leigh Thrash, 18, suffered unknown multiple injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene.

HPD Homicide Division Sergeant B. E. Roberts and Senior Police Officer K. P. Carr reported:

Southeast Patrol officers responded to a deceased person call at the above location.  When officers arrived, HFD emergency personnel told them Ms. Thrash had been found lying on the floor at the bottom of a staircase inside the residence.   Thrash's roommate was questioned and later released.

The investigation is pending Thrash's cause of death, to be determined by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.
