Update: Suspect Arrested, Others Sought in Fatal Shooting at 9803 Club Creek

April 6, 2012 - Charges have been filed against a suspect arrested in the fatal shooting of one male and wounding of two others at 9803 Club Creek about 10 p.m. on March 25.


The suspect, Denzel Earl McGee (b/m, DOB: 10-18-93), is charged with murder in the 337th State District Court. He is accused in the killing of Alvin Foley III, 18, of Houston, who suffered multiple gunshot wounds and was later pronounced dead at Ben Taub General Hospital.

Three to four other suspects, described only as black males, one possibly armed, remain at large. One is described as wearing a black hat and a gray shirrt with art work on the front.

Two other males, Jordan Sampson, 17, and Prince Fair, 18, both of Houston, also suffered gunshot wounds and were transported to Memorial Hermann Southwest Hospital in unknown conditions.

HPD Homicide Division Sergeant O. Chandler and Senior Police Officer J. Johnston reported:

Mr.'s Foley, Sampson and Fair got into an argument with four to five unknown black male suspects. At some point after the argument, the suspects returned to the above location and McGee shot Foley, Sampson and Fair and then fled the scene. One of the remaining suspects also fired shots during the incident. All three victims were then taken to the hospital.

Further investigation and witness statements identified McGee as a suspect in this case and, on Thursday (April 5), he was taken into custody.
