Investigation into Fatal Shooting at 12261 Fondren

August 6, 2012 - Houston police are investigating the fatal shooting of a man at 12261 Fondren #1513 about 6:30 a.m. on Saturday (Aug. 4).


The victim, Jameel Hassan Galloway, 29, of the above address, was pronounced dead at ths scene.

HPD Homicide Division Sergeant K. McGray and Senior Police Officer T. Tyler reported:

HPD patrol officers responded to a shooting at the above location and found Mr. Galloway inside his apartment with gunshot wounds. According to witnesses, two unknown male suspects came to the apartment and knocked on the door. When Galloway opened the door, the suspects forced their way into the apartment and several shots were fired. At this time, Galloway is believed to be the only person struck by the gunfire.

The suspects are described only as two black males. Both are about 19 to 25 years of age, about 5 feet 8 inches tall and weigh about 160 pounds. One suspect was wearing white shorts and a black t-shirt. The other had black shorts, a black t-shirt and a black hat.

At this time, it has not been determined if the suspects fled the scene on foot or in a vehicle.
