Investigation into Fatal Stabbing at 5400 Telephone Road

August 6, 2012 - Houston police are investigating the fatal stabbing of a man at 5400 Telephone Road about 1:30 a.m. today (Aug. 6).


The victim, 48, was pronounced dead at the scene. His identity is pending notification to family members by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.

HPD Homicide Division Senior Police Officer J. Johnston and M. Waters reported:

Witnesses reported seeing an unknown suspect on top of the victim assaulting him in a parking lot at the above address. When the witness began honking his horn, the suspect fled the scene on foot. When officers arrived, they found the victim had suffered multiple stab wounds and was pronounced dead.

The suspect is described only as a Hispanic male, 20 to 30 years of age, five feet, six inches tall and approximately 130 pounds. He was wearing a dark blue or black t-shirt and blue jeans.
