Suspect Arrested, Charged in Fatal Stabbing at 10810 Telephone Road

August 27, 2012 - Charges have been filed against a suspect arrested in the fatal stabbing of a baby girl and the wounding of her brother and mother at 10810 Telephone Road #355 about 12:40 a.m. on Saturday (Aug. 25).


The suspect, Jose Pedro Rojas-Martinez (H/m, DOB: 4-3-89), is charged with capital murder in the 248th State District Court. He is accused in the killing of his eight-month-old baby girl, and the wounding of his wife, Erica Rojas, 19, and their 22-month-old son.

HPD Homicide Division Sergeant E. Cisneros and Senior Police Officer H. Chavez reported

The suspect and his wife got into an argument at their residence that became physical. The suspect then stabbed his wife, son, and daughter. Officers arrived and arrested the suspect a short time later. Paramedics transported all three wounded family members to Memorial Hermann Hospital. The baby girl was pronounced deceased at the hospital while Mrs. Rojas and the couple's son were transported there in stable condition.
