August 31, 2012 - Houston police are investigating the death of an infant at 7718 Glenvista about 11:30 p.m. on Thursday (Aug. 30).

The three-month-old male was transported to Texas Children's Hospital where he was pronounced dead. His identity and cause of death are pending autopsy results by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.

HPD Homicide Division Senior Police Officer B. Evans and Officer J. Horn reported:

The infant was fed a bottle and then put to bed at approximately 11 p.m. His father woke up approximately 15 minutes later and says he found the baby cold to the touch and not responding. Houston Fire Department Paramedics were called to the scene and conducted CPR on the baby before transporting him to the hospital. The investigation is pending autopsy results.
