Surveillance Video of Suspects in Robbery at 5300 East Freeway

December 20, 2012 - Houston police robbery investigators are asking for the public's help in identifying several suspects seen in a surveillance video as they robbed a business at 5300 East Freeway (East Interstate Highway 10) about 1 p.m. on December 12.


The incident occurred at the EZ Pawn where some suspects, armed with sledgehammers, smashed glass cases and stole numerous pieces of jewelry. The surveillance video and still photos of the suspects and their wanted vehicle are posted on the HPD YouTube channel at https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dRQ_95RiSls&feature=youtu.be

One suspect initially entered the business and stayed only for a short time. Minutes later, he and several other males wearing masks and gloves entered the store. Two female employees and some customers were ordered to get on the ground during the robbery. No one was hurt.

The suspects are described only as four to six black and/or Hispanic males in their late teens or early 20s, all between 5 feet 7 to 5 feet 10 inches tall and weighing 160 to 180 pounds. They were seen arriving and fleeing the scene in a black Dodge Charger with chrome door handles and chrome or silver windshield wipers.
