Investigation into Fatal Shooting at 822 West Little York

February 10, 2012 -

The fatal shooting of a robbery suspect at 822 West Little York about 9:25 p.m. on Thursday (Feb. 9) will be referred to a Harris County grand jury. 

The suspect, identified as Terrance Hall (b/m, DOB: 5-17-78), suffered multiple gunshot wounds and was transported to Memorial Hermann Northwest Hospital where he was pronounced dead.

The male shooter, 49, was not injured in this incident.

HPD Homicide Division Sergeant M. Jewell and Officer L. Carballo reported:

Hall entered a convenience store at the above address in an agitated state and attempted to gain entry to the rear of the store by pushing against a door.  Unable to gain entry, Hall climbed onto a nearby ATM machine, climbed over the plexiglass and fell behind the counter.  The male store employee then retrieved a gun.  As Hall approached, the male fired several shots and fatally struck Hall.  Hall was then taken to the hospital.

No charges have been filed at this time.
