Suspect Sought in Fatal Shooting at 7307 Yellow Pine

February 10, 2012 - Houston police are asking for the public's help in locating a suspect wanted in the fatal shooting of two people at 7307 Yellow Pine about 7 a.m. today (Feb. 10).

Diego Martinez (H/m, DOB: 2-13-69) is charged with murder in the 262nd State District Court and remains at large.  A photo of Martinez is attached to this news release.

The suspect's wife, Martha Nava De Martinez, 40, suffered a fatal gunshot wound and was pronounced dead at the scene.  The second shooting victim, Omar Salazar, 31, was transported to Memorial Hermann Northwest Hospital where he was pronounced dead.

HPD Homicide Division Sergeant C. Howard and Officer R. Lujan reported:

HPD patrol officers responding to a shooting call at the above address arrived to find both shooting victims lying in the driveway.  Both are believed to have been shot by suspect Diego Martinez.

Martinez was last seen driving a black Ford F-150 pickup truck with Texas license plates AX67304.  He is believed to be armed with a pistol.  Anyone with information as to his whereabouts is urged to contact the HPD Homicide Division at 713-308-3600 or Crime Stoppers at 713-222-TIPS.
