Suspect Arrested, Charged in Woman's Death at 3029 Francis

February 27, 2012 - Charges have been filed against a suspect arrested in the death of a woman at 3029 Francis #4 about 4:55 a.m. on Sunday (Feb. 26).

The suspect, Eric Deshayn Tennell (b/m, DOB: 10-30-78), is charged with murder in the 179th State District Court.  He is accused in the killing of his mother, Marsha Tennell, 53, of the above address, who suffered blunt force trauma and died at the scene.

HPD Homicide Division Sergeant R. Blain and Senior Police Officer J. Robles reported: 

HPD patrol officers and HFD paramedics were called to the residence of Ms. Tennell.  When officers arrived, they met with suspect Tennell, who was covered in blood.  Officers then found Ms. Tennell deceased inside her bedroom.

Eric Tennell was then taken into custody at the scene and later admitted to his involvement in his mother's death.
