Suspect Arrested, Charged in Shooting at 5119 Beechaven

February 27, 2012 - Houston police have arrested a suspect charged in the shooting of a male and wounding of one other at 5119 Beechaven about 3:05 p.m. on Saturday (Feb. 25).

The suspect, Treyvon Raymond Williams (b/m, DOB: 2-26-93), is charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.  He is accused in the wounding of Ron Lamonte Chaney, II, 17, who suffered a gunshot wound to the head and is in critical condition at Ben Taub General Hospital.

HPD Homicide Division Sergeant G. Whitehead and Officer R. Nunez reported:

During an argument, Williams shot Mr. Chaney and his sister.  Chaney was transported to Ben Taub General Hospital where he is on life support.  His sister sustained a gunshot wound to her forearm and was treated at the scene.  After leaving the scene, Williams returned and led investigators to where he had discarded the gun.

Williams was transported to the Fort Bend County Jail and charges were filed with the Fort Bend County District's Attorney's Office.
